Founders & Partners
Tom began his career as a consultant in the national office of Kennerth Leventhal & Company. Prior to establishing Thomas Stephen & Company, LLP in 1991, Tom was the V.P. of Finance for Cambridge Companies, Inc. where he administered the restructuring of approximately 150 real estate projects. Tom has also served on the Southlake City Council (2001-2004) and has served on various boards including the Southlake Park Development Corporation, a Tax Increment Finance District, Joint Use Committee and the Carroll Education Foundation. Tom has extensive experience in tax compliance, deal structuring and syndication, non judicial "workouts", equity and dept financing, complex public financing mechanisms, the affordable housing industry along with many other types of deal related consulting engagements. Tom's expertise includes partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations, S corporations and trusts. Tom's vision for the firm is very simple - gather a core team of the most distinguished experts in accounting and consultation together to provide his clients with the best service at a fair and reasonable price.

Tom's primary practice are is providing a wide range of accounting, auditing, tax and consulting services to clients in the real estate industry. He is an expert in structuring equity and dept financing and has directed audit and consulting engagements for some of the largest real estate developers in the country. Tom has advised clients with all types of real estate including residential, commercial, industrial and hospitality properties. He has been deeply involved in all aspects of aquisition, development, construction, disposition, securitization and entity selection for his real estate clients. Tom is also heavily involved in assisting developers of affordable housing in structuring low-income housing tax credit projects.
Adrian brings a wealth of experience to the firm. Before retiring in 1986 he was the area managing partner of one of the major national accounting firms. He recently joined Thomas Stephen & Company, LLP as Senior Consultant. As such, he has been involved in a myriad of financial transactions for companies and businesses of all sizes. Adrian is available to the firm and our clients to discuss any type of current or prospective opportunties.
